Adding bio to user/author page

  • Hi! I’ve tried searching on the forums and have attempted to use Nimble Builder and other plugins to no avail. At the moment, we have blog posts published under several different users (a mix of authors, editors, and administrators), and want to add a visible biography to the page for each user.

    It says we are using GeneratePress Child and I tried to fiddle around with PageHero and ‘Elements’ and what not but couldn’t understand if I was even doing anything right.

    When I click ‘Edit User’ there is an ‘About Yourself’ where I can fill in the ‘Biographical Info.’ It’s captioned ‘Share a little biographical information to fill out your profile. This may be shown publicly.’ Any text I enter in only changes the meta description rather than anything on the page.

    its possible to build an Author Box using GP Elements. But that is a GP Premium feature, and we cannot provide support for paid plugins in this forum.

    You would need to raise a topic in the premium support forum.

    Alternatively you can use a Author Box plugin, there are many to choose from in the WordPress plugin repository.
