Hey! I’ve got a customized blog layout on my homepage that I would like to add to all pages; single posts, contact, about pages. I figured the easiest way to do this was to create a pattern/reusable block of the blog layout on my homepage and add it to the ‘single post’ and ‘page’ templates. For some reason when I add the pattern, it does not show up on the front end. Am I going about this the wrong way? Thanks for the help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @danachew,

Can you confirm what exactly you’re getting from the homepage layout? Is it primarily the header and footer?

If you are copying/pasting all the page content, please ensure you don’t add the block for the posts loop, as it would be a single page, not an archive with all posts like the homepage.

    Hey Felipe,

I am only pulling the posts from the homepage I believe. I right clicked on the posts area and created a reusable pattern. I tried to place that pattern block in the ‘single posts’ and ‘page’ template, but it only shows up in the back end for some reason.

I am trying to have the post layout that is on my homepage, be on every page and post below everything. Here’s an example of the effect I’m going for: https://tresbirds.com/contact

Am I going down the right path to make that happen?

    Hey @danachew

Have you tried merely copying the Query Loop block and pasting it in the pages you mentioned? That would work. Click on the three vertical dots, select ‘copy blocks’ and then paste.

The way I understood your question was that you were only after the blog layout / query loop.

That worked, thanks! I created a template part and stuck the pattern in there.

    That’s great! Keep well
