Adding Blog to the breadcrumbs

I have got this working very well except for my Blog page shows no breadcrumb and the Blog path is not being shown in the breadcrumbs for blog posts.

My site has a static home page and then a page I have named ‘Blog’ with a Blog menu item to go to and view my Blog posts.

Problem is that when I go and view that page mysite.com/blog there is no breadcrumb shown. Likewise when I view a post in the blog it shows the pathway but does not include the path Blog

So currently it shows it as

Home > Category > Blog Post Name
Home > Archives for April 2014

What I want to have is the Blog path to be added so it looks like

Home > Blog > Category > Blog Post Title
Home > Blog > Archives for 2014

Please help me fix this please.
