• I am sure there is a very simple (and obvious!) way to do this, but it doesn’t come to me now.

I am working on a WP site that uses static pages for all current content (including the front page), and want to add a blog. The front page should still point to a static page, and I would like a final menu item on the top menu to go to the blog.

The site is using a K2-based theme, and can be found here: https://jennifersmassage.net

Any pointers and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

OK. I found the answer a little further down in the forum:

“As for making the home page a static page, this is built in too. Just make a new Page that will become the home page. Put whatever content you want in it. Then make a new Page with no content, but with the name “blog” or whatever you want, because this will become the new blog page. Then change the settings on the Settings->Reading page to set which is the front page and which page will hold the blog posts.”
