For some reason when I want to add a new name. It won’t show up on the right hand side of the screen, under the categories page. But, when I go to make a post the name is actually in the categories.

Any reason why this is happening.

Now, deleting categories from the cat page, won’t let me. It’s giving me an error.

Did anything lead up to this behavior? Was any updates done? Were you ever able to add to the categories page?

The category may show up after you post something with that category. Make a test post and use that category and see what happens.

I just added a new band name into the cat today a few mins ago didn’t port over to the right hand side, but I know it’s their. So, I went and made my post, and just used the CTRL+F to find the band name and it was in the category section while making my post. on the post page. So weird. Maybe I should delete some code in the functions part of the site or something, i’v read others having the same problem but on older wordpress editions.

Why would you have to delete some code from your functions.php unless your theme is causing the issue? What is the theme you are using?

Sorry, no need to yell at me, that’s what I read. Cause i actually googled the problem, and some of the users on here said something about editing some code from your wordpress theme.

    I use
    https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/egallery/

You have to buy it. I mean I can send you the whole theme if u want?

I’m not yelling at you I thought it was a legitimate question that I asked. I wanted to see your reasoning so we can help.

Do you have this issue if you activate the default theme? Unfortunately this forum is only for free themes and does not support premium themes so if it is theme related, you will have to get support from Elegant Themes.

Please contact Elegant themes as graphical_force suggested as we do not support commercial themes here:
