Adding Category Drop Down and assigning them to the post

    I would like my users to be able to select from a list of categories, and then I would like to assign that category to the specific post so it can be placed in the appropriate location.

    Does any one have any idea on how to get this going? I have the line of code that places the drop down to select a category, but I can not seem to get it to ‘Assign’ it to that post.
