Adding categorys to “Page” hierarchy

    I have a site I am presently building which requires something a little different. I have attempted to find a plug and have crawled google with no luck, so I wonder if anyone can confirm the possibility for me of the following;

    I would like to attribute a category to use a page as a parent.

    Basically, i have a page i have built that lists the category posts, however if you click the ‘listed’ in link then it will take you to the actually categories page, which means the hierarchy is lost and the page that should be highlighted is not. The reason I am using a page for the category is so I can position this in the menu correctly.

    I am using the ‘hybrid’ theme and pixopoint menu plugin.

    Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
