Adding children taxonomy

No, it’s not designed to work that way. You would need to add a list of 50 states, and then add a list of cities for Alabama and select “Alabama” as the parent.

So I made some progress I should share in case someone else needs this:

1. Exported data from https://www.maxmind.com/en/free-world-cities-database
2. Opened the file in Excel/Google Drive, sorted by population size, picked the top 4000
3. Exported to CSV
4. Open in CSV and delete “-“, and “.” (dashes and periods)
5. Created a PHP executable as detailed here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36783637/convert-csv-to-this-new-format
6. Copy/paste the output into 500 line sections and pasted into this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bulk-add-terms/

Your plugin saved me because the https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bulk-add-terms/ plugin tends to crash out. At times, I had to use your plugin to add terms into parent terms which was really useful.
