• You’ve done great work with the TinyMCE 4.0 upgrade!

Is there any possibility that you will consider adding the CodeMagic TinyMCE plugin to TinyMCE Advanced?

(Find the CodeMagic Plugin here.) [https://github.com/tinymce-plugins/codemagic]

This plugin was previously available through the Ultimate TinyMCE WordPress plugin, which has now morphed into WP Edit. But WP Edit now only includes CodeMagic in its premium edition. (It used to be available in the free version of Ultimate TinyMCE.)

There don’t currently seem to be any existing WP plugins that offer it (except for that Premium one).

CodeMagic is a terrific addition for the WP TinyMCE editor, and would be a great addition to TinyMCE Advanced, IMHO.

If you cannot make this addition, could you provide links to tutorials or other advise on how to go about adding the CodeMagic plugin to WordPress myself? I’ve read this in the Codex (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/mce_external_plugins) but it assumes just a bit too much about my coding skills.

    Thanks much!

Andrew, just so you know, the button they are referencing was a complete recode, performed by me, to be compatible with TinyMCE version 4. It is not the same button that was used in TinyMCE version 3.

    more here…

I would be more than ecstatic to collaborate with you on anything regarding TinyMCE ??

    Thanks, Mr. Ozz!

Well, I understand a bit more about all of the TinyMCE update issues now. And I understand that Josh wrote completely new code for a CodeMagic-like addition to his new WP Edit plugin.

So I now also know that the currently available version of the CodeMagic plugin would not be ready for any addition to a TinyMCE V4 WP plugin at this point anyway.

The CodeMagic developers report that they are working on an updated version but that it may take a while…

They say they will post updates here.
