Adding comments to the Creativix Portfolio section

I’m having major problems with adding a comment section to the Creativix Portfolio pages.

I have a blog with Creativix as the template, and started using the Portfolio section for an additional posting area away from the main blogging. I liked the layout of the Portfolio entries and it suits the look and feel of that section well.

But, there is no comment capability on these pages.

I have attempted to add in the comment code to the Portfolio pages, and now have “Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.” appearing on all of them.

I need to find a way of “activating” comments on Portfolio pages.

It seems strange that this was missed out of the theme design, surely a page template was used but someone made the conscious decision to remove the coding allowing comment options from the Portfolio entries. I think this was a mistake and limits their use.

Can anyone help me? I guess I just need to find what to copy and where to paste it to activate the comments option now that I have that “Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.” appearing on them. I just can’t find what needs to be added where.
