Adding custom text area to variations

Hello,

Could anyone please tell me how I could add a custom text are variation, one that does not require the user to select an option from a dropdown menu, but rather input their own text – for exmaple: “Front text: *user insert text here*”

If this can not be done with this plugin, could anyone suggest another e commerce plugin that could? (Though it would be a shame, as I really like this plugin.)
