I would appreciate if you could direct me…

I wanted to add a variation of the ticket for disabled folks so that their ticket would also give access to a section of special parking. It seems to me that even if I setup a different “area” the CE is not able to display multiple types or process of tickets. In the calendar it only allows for selection of one ticket type. Am I missing something or is this expected behavior in the CE.

If we cant create a 2nd ticket type, can we use the product attributes that would ask them to check a box if disabled parking was required ? I tried to create attributes but they don’t seem to flow through to the event registration screens … again, is this expected behavior ?

    Thanks for the help.

I see this is answered here

The 2nd part of my question applies … if we add custom fields, or product attributes ..any way to get them to present for selection ? I tried an attribute and a custom field and neither seemed to work.

    Thanks

Hey @regenbauma. The answer is tickets are currently meant to be simple products with no variations or attributes. This may change in a future version or extension, but as of now no attributes or variations will work on tickets.

We are currently working on a few extensions, one of which could solve your dilemma, which would allow multiple ticket types to be assigned to an Event Area; however, it is not yet complete. You can join the mailing list on the website to get updates about the new extensions as they come out.

    Hope this helps,

I wanted to feedback that I was able to handle the disabled tickets as follows
    a) I created a regular product “Disabled Parking”, that is limited to 1 per order
    b) I created this in the same category as the event ticket and linked them. So now when a user goes to the event ticket is displays the “You may also like the disabled ticket”…so now I can see in a reservation if they need disabled parking.

I then loaded the free module for “poor mans swiss army knife” for woo commerce. I added a field to checkout registration called “License Tag where they enter the tag.

I will shortly add some jquery that detects the disabled ticket and if it exists , disable submit until the TAG has been entered.

    I hope this helps someone

I wanted to feedback that I was able to handle the disabled tickets as follows

And that also deals with my “we want to pre-sell food at events” issues

    Brilliant advice, thanks
(Actually, the other tip will come in useful as well!)
