Adding Digital Downloads

Thank you for taking time to read this post and thank you in advance for any recommendations. We have had a blog for a number of years through WordPress and are looking to add digital downloads for courses, books, etc. through landing pages and a “shop” tab on the blog.

We are not extremely experienced bloggers and are looking for what steps we need to do. Is it a plug-in only? Do we need an outside eCommerce platform? Is iSell sufficient?

Any direction, recommendations would be great.
