Adding digits to Post_ID

    I posted this earlier, but I think in the wrong section of the forum.

    I am a newbie and was hoping there is an easy way to change the way %Post_ID% displays in permalinks. Right now it’s outputting a 1 or 2 digit number (e.g. “23”) and I’d like that number to be at least three digits. Is there a way to change “23” to “00023” for example, or to add 100 to the value of post_id so that 1 could become 101? The objective is to make my blog more friendly to news search engine crawls.
