I don’t know if my computer is compatible. I do not know if I have php capabilities and what version of PHP and I do believe I have SQL. Do not know where to check to see if my computer is compatible. (first of all) I know ASP and Basic language. I do not know php. I read the forum and they say “installer.php” I only found main.installer.php. Is it the same? I probably should not be her…and run installer.php afer the “folder” is uploaded to wordpress-site. When I unpacked the duplicator folder on my desktop it encompasses other files from my c-drive. When I open the folders in Zip the clean files are there? I read that I was supposed to upload the entire folder (after downloading to my computer. I do not understand why it’s linking ~ or reading many other files from my c-Drive? Again I am not PHP literate. The Styles support said it was easy. WordPress said you cannot be a novice to add this plug-in. I do not know where I stand?

  • Hey Irminator,

You may try the quick start guide. There are quite a few videos online as well, like this one

If that doesn’t help, then you may need to look for some assistance, as the process can get involved pretty quick.

    Cheers~

The quick start guide were great!! My concern now is with the large website. I wanted to filter the (gallery) extensions. I have a list about 126 (gallery pictures). The website size is 1.78GB the database is 7.52 MB I see that the filer is “OFF”. (trying to find how to turn the filter on and where to add the (filtered)extensions I will delete a few obsolete media files to reduce the size somewhat. I am guessing that the gallery -media files may be the culprit?

Note: As I ran through 4 installations, the archive is building up very slowly at about 5 MB each session. I think if I can filter the gallery pictures I would not mind the tedious job of several upload sessions.

How do I (access) turn my Filter on? I see where the filter is located and it is “OFF” I need simple instructions to turn the FILTER “ON”. Thank you. I appreciate your help!

This is not resolved…I have one last step!

    Its pretty simple:

Packages > Create New > Archive Section
    1. Check the Enable File Filter Box
    2. Add the path to the directory you want to filter.

    Hope that helps!
