    Hello,

Tonight I’ve had to use a backup enc file I had created for my website. I had to add the file to the FTP because it was 72MB, then go back into the plugin and decrypt it there.

I selected the right ENC file and then clicked “decrypt backup” it’ll chug for a while and then a page saying “page cannot be found’

I don’t understand. I tried changing the end of the file name from zip.enc to .zip so I could at least extract my contents, nope doesn’t work.

    I really need a solution.

    Thank you,

    Hi inkedkol,

Can you provide the information from Help & Support tab, please?

I think maybe the decryption is timing out on your server for some reason.

    Regards,

    Jason

    Hi inkedkoi,

Unfortunately I do think it is some timeout problem on your server so it times out before it finishes decryption and doesn’t give you the file. We’re working on a new decryption system that will be much improved and workaround this issue but until finished it may be best to try another server.

Alternatively, if you are willing to reveal encryption key to us you can email support “at” backup-technology.co.uk them and we’ll email back an FTP site you can upload the encrypted file to. We can then decrypt it using our servers and allow you to download it again via FTP. Of course I understand if you don’t want to do this.

    Jason.

    Hey Jason,

I think I’ll send over the file. There’s nothing overtly confidential within the .enc that I’m too worried about.

Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it.

All done and sent back to you.

    No problem at all.
