• Hi Mailpoet Team, I am trying to insert multiple “The Event Calendar” events into an email. Normally when I choose the ‘category’ dropdown and choose the relevant category, it filters to dynamically display all the events under that category and I can choose multiple. I am experiencing an issue where no events are being listed when I choose a particular category, just a series of blank boxes. When I choose a different category, it displays those events without issue – it seems only to affect one particular category. Last month, the events in that category were displaying in MailPoet without any problems. Please see attached screenshot. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi there @joellou,

Unfortunately I cannot view the screenshot you shared. Just to confirm, you are inserting a “Posts” block into your email, setting the “type” to Events and then clicking in the category/tag box to view a list of your categories, is that correct? Like this:

    https://d.pr/i/pbhnI6
    Full Size: https://d.pr/i/pbhnI6

If you do this, are you seeing the required category listed here, or not? And if it is listed here, and you select it, are you seeing the matching events listed below, or are there no matches?

I did test this out on my own test site and did not notice any issues. Given that only one category appears to be affected, it does seem as though there may be some bad data in your database that is returning an unexpected result.

You could perhaps debug this by going through the events in that category from the past month (i.e. going back to when you know it was working), and removing all more recent events from that category, then test to make sure this clears the issue.

Then, re-add events to the category one at a time and test each time until you find the event that has the bad data. Assuming you can pinpoint an event like this, take a deeper look at its settings and values for any potential issues.

Another thing you could try is creating a fresh category and assigning it to these events, and removing the old category; then test with the fresh category to see if this resolved the issue – this is just in case the old category itself has some kind of configuration issue.
