Adding feature image to all posts

Is there a way to set the feature image for all posts/press releases at once? I am using a custom theme based on the twenty-ten theme and it allows me to set feature images. But, when I post a press release/post I seem to have to select an image every time. I don’t want to have to do that. Is there a way to just set this image and forget about it?
