Adding gift card code to shop email to buyer?

The gift card code is generated when the order status is “Completed”. Since the order confirmation email is sent before the order is completed, there isn’t a way to send this to the buyer in that email.

There is an option in the Pro version to send a copy of the gift card email to the buyer. www.ads-software.com doesn’t allow supporting Pro plugins using their forums so if you have further questions regarding this feature please contact us via our website: https://www.pimwick.com

I see, that makes sense! It doesn’t have to be the confirmation email, it could also be the invoice email or even a short code I can put into the invoice itself. If that’s a pro feature that’s fine, I just need to know if it is possible. Thank you ??

Using the “Send to the Buyer” feature available in the Pro version is the only way to send this to the buyer. The built-in Order Complete email also happens just prior to the gift cards being created so it wouldn’t be able to be applied there.

If you have a custom email that gets sent after the order is Complete then you may be able to pull the information from the Order Line Item since it is just Order Item Meta Data that stores the gift card number, amount, message, etc.
