Adding Google Adsense Ads to my WordPress Blog

Hi,

I am currently runing WordPress 2.9.2. I am trying to ad google adsense to my wordpress blog. I currently have ‘Advertising Manager’ installed on my blog. I have entered my adsense code in to Advertising manager but my ad does not seem to show up. The only ad that shows up is on the homepage which is a public service ad by google but thte ad is not releated to the content on my site. Can someone please tell how to ad google adsense ads successsfully and get rid of the big public service ad you see at the top of my homepage?
