Adding Google Analytics Event tracking to Podpress generated links

Has anyone had success editing the podpress plugin files to append Google Analytics tracking code to the download links generated by Podpress? The code would look like this.:
“onClick=”_gaq.push([‘_trackEvent’, Podpress Download, ‘Download’, Episode title’]);”
It should be appended to the <a href= that PodPress generates that links to the media file.
I am currently trying to clean up the mess on my site, and find out which of the various download links people actually click on, and Google Analytics Event Tracking seems to be the best way to do this. But I can’t figure out how to append the tracking code from within PodPress.
