Adding Google Search Console site verification code

    I verified back in January using Google Analytics. Google has not been able to verify the site with my account for last 7 .months.

    -I’ve reauthenticated the google analytics plugin I was using
    -Deactivated and added a new GA plugin today and authenticate
    -I’ve added the GA <meta…> to the base-embeded.php (only one I could find with the <head> & <body> tags.
    -I found the GA instructions for adding to a PHP site, but I don’t have access to create PHP pages and add to the WP site.

    Can you help me with either better instructions on how to verify my WP site with Search Console or diections of where and how to add the right GA verification code? I am not a developer.
