Adding HD Video As a Post

  • I’d like to add only a video (HD- from Twitvid & not a YouTube video) in a new post. I have the embedded code already. I’m in a “Add a New Post” & I’ve already tried using the icon where it says insert/add embedded media and that didn’t seem to work. Do I use that feature, Add Media feature, Add Video feature or do I use something totally different? Please explain in a step-by-step process because that’ll make it easier for me and you. Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Easiest method – Open the HTML editor. Paste the embed code from Twitvid. For example: 

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="https://www.twitvid.com/player/26645"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://www.twitvid.com/player/26645" quality="high" allowscriptaccess="always" allowNetworking="all" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" height="344" width="425"></object>

    Publish it. Don’t preview it first, and don’t flip between editors after pasting it. It should now show in your post.

    Is this the normal procedure for videos other than YouTube videos?

    Not for all video sources. There is a white-list of video sources in this article. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Embeds

    Others you may need to embed with the code like you did above.
