Well i know that it cant be achieved by permalinks

But cant modification of .htaccess to do the trick

Or Even Making the pages manually and then integrating wordpress in it

ok i have dropped the pages thing now i only need .htm/php at the end of categories.

cant it be done by .htaccess or modifying some wordpress files

And if it is not possible can i manually make category pages like news.php reviews.php humor.php put them in the root folder and connect them to wordpress. Is it possible ?

    1. For posts, you just need to add .html at the end of your permalink structure /%postname%.html and save the settings.

    2. For pages, there’s a plugin that let you add .html, I’m not able to recall the link, but searching this forum will get you plugin link.

This seems to be possible with htaccess but it will require quite lots of work as well as chances are high that you may screw up with infinite redirection.
