I am having trouble with adding banner ads to the sidebar of my blog – https://www.onehotcrumpet.co.uk

I don’t want to hard-code them into the sidebar; I’d rather use a widget or the links functionality.

When adding the banner as a link (providing URL, text and an image) all that appears is the text of the ad, not the image.

When putting the img code into the sidebar (using the text/arbitrary html widget) the widget appears blank except for the title. (You can see this on the blog currently.)

This is the code I’ve been trying to use:

    <a href="https://www.goodvibes.com/?kbid=135245&m=9&i=49"><img border="0" src="https://affiliates.goodvibes.com/b.aspx?id=135245&mm=9&img=ToysFor160x240.jpg"/></a>

    Help?

[Please post code snippets between backticks or use the code button.]

  • I can see an image in your sidebar for goodvibes.com.

I had the same problem — and with GV — until I realized I had my ad blocker on. Strangely it wasn’t blocking other sidebar widget banners, but it sure zapped this one.
