Adding images and tables makes Visual Editor a mess
-
My website:
I added 2 columns to the front (home) page along with the sidebar on the right. My 2nd column (which appears in the middle of the page) translates well to the website, but looks a mess in Visual Editor. Text Editor works fine to organize and place content in the 2nd column, but I have to keep my website open in another tab and refresh it as I update the editing of my page in order to review my work in progress. While that has worked, anyone else who may come in later and look at the front (home) page using Visual Editor will see a mess and perhaps try to fix it.
If I could upload a screen shot here, you could see the mess, but I’ll try to describe it. Column 1 in Visual Editor is fine – probably because it is text only.
Column 2 lists my tables first on the far left side (and they are actually at the bottom of the column). To the right of the tables are the images (with their captions) that make up the top portion of the column, but they are not in the correct order. The basic layout of the column in Visual editor appears as:
Table 1 Image 2 Image 1
Table 2 Image 4 Image 3(Each table also contains an image, by the way. The four images named above are all right-aligned.)
I would expect column 2 to be in a more wysiwyg format, for example:
Image 1
Image 2
Image 3
Image 4
Table 1
Table 2
