Adding in WP pages to legacy site

    I have a legacy PHP site. I would like to setup certain pages so that they come from a wordpress install on same site – so like a link might be

    mysite.com/page1.php
    mysite.com/page1.php

    mysite.com/wp/wp-page1.html
    mysite.com/wp/wp-page2.html

    etc.

    …not very complex. The basic resoon for all this is to use some worpress plugins on these pages.

    The issue is the current site is ok and has old php Navbar and I want keep the same look as much as possible on the new wordpress pages.

    q: How can I setup wordpress pages so that they can keep the same look?

    I would be happy to use old html frameset (or php include etc.) and keep the top html navbar and a wordpress page on bottom – if I could use some super basic theme where I could control the header and footer elements etc.

    … or whatever other way this could work…?
