Adding internal link button to single product page

    Hi.

    I’d like to add a button to the single product page that links to a page unique to that product. The page is internal to the site. Not external. For example, a button that says ‘Read More’ and, when selected, takes the viewer to a single page with more detailed information about that product. More than I care to display using the accordions.

    I’m thinking that a product details custom field would be involved with the field holding the page details that you would be taken to when the button is selected. My coding skills aren’t advanced enough for me to know if this is the best way or, if it is, how to do this.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Why can’t this go in the short description for example? I guess it depends where you want the link.

    I’m creating blog style page posts that are accessed from email marketing. So that I can reuse content, I’d like the product page to link to these pages and vice versa.

    But where do you want the link displayed is what I’m asking.

    Hi Mike.

    I misunderstood your question, however, I’ve been thinking about easier solutions and have found what I’m after. The theme I use uses accordions and have coded it to use only one, to not collapse and renamed it. Then building on your question about using short scription, I’ve used the product description. I think it will do what it I want without worrying too much.
