Adding latest posts to a row?

Hi James,

Since we moved pootle page builder away from widgets (something which has really helped make the whole plugin more stable), we would recommend using shortcodes for this.

Thanks nick for the prompt reply. I am guessing then with this approach to get 3 latest news posts to run side by side across the row you would need to style the shortcodes as page builder itself would not really do anything here only list them down the page?

Hi Nick & Lucas, as you can see from my test page here on the homepage I have a few simple rows: https://www.jamjosandbox.com/pagebuilder/ and then in the second row I have used Lucas suggestion of the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-recent-posts/ to layout the latest posts horizontally in say a set of three. I like this really and its stylish if you want to go the image route.

I guess I was hoping for a text based solution along the lines of say this: https://i59.tinypic.com/2mg1qgj.jpg

Possibly this is an idea for an addon as I assume the pootle post loop will be an addon in time here? And maybe some nice simple styles. Obviously you can tell I am basing this off a standard canvas blog post here and simply changing the styles of the meta and header and date. But of course its getting it to work horizontally in columnular layout rather than down the page so maybe as I say its an idea for an addon as I am sure alot of people would like news to come in tastefully across a row like the attached above.

For now I think I could style the plugin Lucas sent on to force this layout. Thanks
