Adding Links and Highlight of Links

I’m a beginner. I’m trying to put links on one of my pages. I added the link on the page and installed a plugin so when the link is hit it opens a new page. That works fine but I have 3 links on one page and they highlight in red and don’t turn off. Also the comments text below highlights as well. You can select “comments” and it will open the last link in a new page.

Also I puleld my hair out and still don’t understand how the links tab lets you add a link with alot of fields to insert however I don;t know how to use the link on pages? Can someone help I’m sure.

If anyone knows the best book out there for beginners that would be helpful.
