Adding links to PlantUML diagram elements

Hi Todd,

When I use the above markdown (I think that’s the term), the page that is displayed by WordPress has the diagram figures and text but no useable links that I’m expecting to have been embedded using [[https://www.google.com/ Alice]].

This is an incredible push for our companies approach to documentation, it is no understatement to say that it will transform not only our client facing documentation but also our support processes for our product.

I’m very hopeful that this is user error on my part as opposed to a limitation elsewhere ??

Hi Todd,

yes, it would be nice, if the above code woud generate the diagram including a clickable link using an image map.
Probably an image map can be derived from PlantUML to get this done.

Could well be a case that I’m not escaping the square brackets (or more likely that these are being encoded by the TinyMCE related code). I’ll make a note to have a dig into this.

Hi Todd,

I’m able to take stay-cation this Thanksgiving, but my real workalholic dream is to be able to start working on our documentation solution using your plugin for uml.

I had the opportunity to outline my plan to another colleauge and his response was overwhelmingly positive.

I’d like to make this a reality before I return in 8 days, but really do need to know that it will work.

I’d like to say I could get this done, but I’m not sure yet how plantuml links work… maybe they are using SVGs or something (at the moment my plugin uses the png link).

I have a couple of hours free tonight.. so might take a look.

Ah yes, looks like when I get the png, there’s also an image map available too. Fingers crossed I can get this down and show it too.

One little thing that happens when I try it:
a) [[https://www.somelink.com Linkname]]
b) [[https://www.somelink.com]]

Case a) is fine.
Case b) has the link mapped some pixels off (+5,+5) or so.

a) might be preferred anyway.
