Adding longer spaces within text in twenty thirteen

Hello,

Could anyone help me achieve this. I want to add lines of text that have large spaces between some of the words, like this:

xxxxxxxxxx xxxxx xxxx
xxxxx xx

If I try to simply use the space bar between the words, it does not work.

Any ideas?
