adding multiple blank lines in a post

That very much depends upon your current theme/template.

Try switching to HTML mode in the Edit window and add <p>&nbsp;</p> to get a blank line.

<p style=’padding-bottom:20px’> </p> works well in all cases – substitute for 20 as needed

Why don’t they fix this crap?

People have been complaining about this since version 1.5!
