• Hello all,
I would like to know if I can add my two sites (https://gadgetgarrio.com/ – and https://articles.gadgetgarrio.com/ – this is a sub-domain actually) in any article directories? I have a valid adsense account that is just helping me earn a bit and I don’t want to risk it.
    1. Does adding sites in article directories mean blackhat techniques to gain traffic?
    2. If no, in how many article directories can I add my sites.
    3. And it would be great if I know the names of any of them.
    Looking forward,
    Thanks,
    Abhijit Bangal

  • Getting links from article directories is not a good idea anymore, Have you ever observed that from past few months we do not see any links coming from article directories in Google search results or at-least in first 5 pages, except for the very few authority directories

Here is the recent video released by Matt Cutts that answers your questions, and that is also a reference source to my answer

Indeed thanks for the answer. I am really sceptical about adding the site to directories. But then you mentioned that there are a few with authority out there. How about adding there?
And thanks for the link of the video. I will view it right away.

ezinearticles, examiner, ehow, squidoo, hubpages, post 2-3 articles in each directory, and make sure they are unique. After posting 20-30 articles I believe you should move on from using articles as link building, There are other techniques that are more result giving like guest posting, listing business in local directories etc, These does not only bring a link to your website but the regular quality traffic,
