Adding new order manually – VAT

    Hi, If I add a new order manually can I add a VAT-number and get VAT excemption for the customer? I read somewhere that this would be a new feature in EU VAT assistant but it still says that VAT information will not be stored.

    The EU VAT Assistant won’t apply a VAT exemption on orders created manually. Its purpose is the compliance with VAT MOSS, which covers exclusively orders placed by customers themselves, on the frontend.

    For orders entered manually, you will have apply the exemption yourself, by simply removing the VAT portion from each product you add to the order, e.g. by setting the tax amount to zero. You can also enable the option “Collect VAT data for orders entered manually” (see https://prntscr.com/fbzij9) and the EU VAT Assistant will collect some information when you click on “Calculate Totals”.
