• Hi everyone,

I want to be able to put posts about a certain topic all in one top menu item (so people can click it and all the posts will be in there together) and then put posts about another topic in a separate menu name.

EG. Posts I write reviewing cafes, I want a top menu item called ‘The Cafes’ where all my reviews will be found.

I then have another area for various topics called ‘The Chats’ where all my other posts will be found.

Is this possible? Seems like a pretty obvious thing to be able to when publishing a post (select categories, sharing, tags and then put it in a certain area of your website).

    Thanks

  • Just so I understand you right, you want a dropdown menu of some sort, with the category as main menu item, and each post of the category showing up in dropdown when hovering on it, right?

I don’t think this is supported by wordpress out of the box. What you can do is have the categories as menu items, and when you click on them it takes you to a page that shows all the posts of one category. But I don’t think this is what you want.

Alternatively there are premium menu plugins like ubermenu3 that allow for this type of behaviour. Ubermenu for example allows you to place widget areas aas dropdown, in which you can have a listing of all the posts in a certain category (using widgets).

I hope this helped a bit, let me know if I can be of further assistance.
