Adding option to set default category

  • Hi All,

    Im new to writing widgets and thought Id ask here for some help. I have a widget that will search a custom category for content. I want to modify it so that I can set the default category that appears. Ill be using it on a number of pages covering different topics so I want to be able to vary the default.

    Any help would be appreciated
