Adding optional salary field for jobs

Hi guys,
I have added salary field as per tutorial: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-adding-a-salary-field-for-jobs/
No issues here, everything works just fine.
However, now I need to make the field optional as not everybody is willing to fill it out. Could anybody please tell an easy way of doing it?
