Adding pages

    I am a novice user of WordPress.
    I am having trouble creating a page without it appearing in the Menu bar on the top.
    For Example: I would like to create pages for – Disclaimer, Privacy Policy etc at the footer of the webpage. The web template I’ve used has the footer section where I can insert text but no provision to make it a hyperlink to pages that contain the above mentioned information.

    I guess I am making a simple thing complicated. I am open to your ideas as well. How do you deal with footers that require the necessary links which do not show up in the drop down menu at the top of the page.

  • if you’re a novice, i’d recommend simply installing the Exclude Pages plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/exclude-pages/

    Unzip the plugin, then upload it to /wp-content/plugins/

    Activate it, then on whichever page you’re trying to exclude, go to it and below the categories section, uncheck the exclude page section. Then Update your page so the changes are updated.

    Hope this helps. There’s another method which requires editing the header.php, but honestly this plugin makes it way easier.
