Adding pages for SEO versus Navigation

  • Hello, I have setup my main navigation on my WP and have 7 sections you can reach in the main menu from the homepage. Each section will use fixed HTML for the content.

    However I would also like to write around 100 articles for SEO reasons but I don’t want these articles to show up anywhere in the main header. I do want to be able to set their URL. I will link to hese SEO articles from some of the 7 main sections.

    What’s the best way to setup my WP so I can continue to write and add to these articles without affecting the main site?

  • Create your landing page as static and a blog page.

    Thanks, not quite the answers I was looking for. I have already converted every link you click from the main nav into a static page however I refer you to my original post for what I’m trying to do.

    Is this your question? If so, please read the link I posted above.
    – You have to assign one of the links as your static page. Create a blank page with the title blog, news or whatever you like. Use it as your post page and link it from anywhere you like in your front end. Is this not what you want?

    If not I am sorry, I might have misunderstood your question.

    Edit: If what I wrote above is NOT what you want and if you want your blog in a sub-domain, you can do that also.

    To have the pages not in the menu then set up a custom menu and use that for your sites mavigation. That lets you have complete control over what is and isn’t in the menu. Then you can add the links to your SEO articles anywhere that you wat in your site.
