Adding Payment to Form. Help!

  • Help! I’ve created an admissions application for the school website I help to run, but I have no idea how to add something to allow them to pay the $100 application fee. I found that I can add a Paypal plug in, but the problem was that they could hit submit without having to pay. Is there a way to pay and submit in the same button, and get confirmation for both on the next page?

  • I would have thought that the whole purpose was that the PAYPAL button was there instead of SUBMIT, so that you only progress if PAYPAL successfully processes a payment and directs the browser to the progress page, probably the same page your extra button is progressing to.

    Suggest that you peruse some paypal usage examples.

    This will likely come down to the form plugin you’re using for the application.

    It sounds to me like you have the form and Paypal link separate, so they are not talking to each other.

    I’d try something like https://www.gravityforms.com with the Paypal Addon. This will allow a form with Paypal submission in one.

    There are other solutions, but this is probably the easiest ??
