Adding photos and which one to display as thumbnail

  • We know how to upload photos but what we can’t figure out is:
    1. When uploading from computer thumbnail displays on home page post. Why not when uploading from media or NextGen gallery?
    2. When uploading more than one photo, how to determine which one will be displayed?
    3. When displayed thumbnail photo is deleted from post it still shows in display. How to remove?
