Adding Placeholder Attribute to Login Widget

I would like to add placeholders to the Login-Widgets text input fields.
In your Changelog i found: “Add attribute filter to each Profile Builder form input: apply_filters( ‘wppb_extra_attribute’, ”, $field )”.
Can I use this to add the placeholders?Many thanks in advance!
