Adding Pop up code into a text widget

  • Hi there,

    I am trying to create a pop up window to an image I am using in my right hand column. I have added the image in an image widget but cannot select to have this open as a new page or popup. Then I tried to use a text widget instead and use code, but I am really struggling trying to find code to make my image clickable and open into a popup.

    I would appreciate any help you can provide here.

    “Pop-up” image functionality is not something built into Edin.

    You can try making an image open in a new page by doing the following workaround:

    – Creating a draft post or page
    – Insert an image and under “Attachment Display Settings” select “Attachment page”
    – Switch your post editor to HTML view and copy out the HTML from there
    – Enter the HTML into your text widget
    – You may now delete your draft page or post if you like
