@davidvongries, cool looking plugin, but I just can’t quite get it working. ??
I’m attempting to add a Virtual Tour video link to the main menu on this site. I’ve tried adding the class to the link: wp-video-popup and I’ve even created a full page to link-to as well: https://pro-finish.net/virtual-tour/ — neither approach opened a lightbox from the menu link. I’m fairly certain I’m missing an element in the Description area that your plugin details the how-to! ??

Can you point me in the right direction to:
    1. add a Virtual Tour link properly to the main menu
    2. have it open the Vimeo video as a lightbox from anywhere that link is clicked within the site
    Thanks in advance!
    -Steve

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@davidvongries, before I purchase Pro, I had a question about implementation – the site (as I mentioned above) uses Elementor page builder — I couldn’t see how the shortcodes were able to mix with the Elementor Widgets. For instance: https://www.gosquires.org/sports/gccs-sports-overview/ is using 2 Tabs Widgets (with 4 tabs apiece) — I can’t seem to add shortcodes to those tabs’ Text interfaces (let alone their Visual tabs). Can I make that shortcode system work Elementor Widgets with Pro, or can/should I use the text-only encoding to get the desired pop-up lightboxes? Just wanted to clarify before jumping in!

    It would work like this:

You place an Elementor Shortcode widget somewhere on the page where you add the shortcodes (You can drop them all in one widget or create a new shortcode widget for each one, it doesn’t matter).

Then, you would define the triggers via classes on the buttons/links in elementor.

    Hope that helps ??

That’s what I had envisioned in my mind — a blank shortcode widget somewhere on the page for the # to refer to (or is it the full URL?). Thanks!

And you’re saying all those shortcodes could go in the same shortcode widget, correct?

and “finally” :D, how do I actually obtain the suggested:

“As a valued WP Video Popup user you receive 30% off, automatically applied at checkout!” -stated in the wp-admin Settings > GET WP Video Popup PRO

The checkout shows the full price (+ tax). Please let me know!

Yes, they can go all in the same shortcode widget but it can be quite hard to manage. Having multiple shortcode widgets is just easier to look at but that’s personal preference. Both will work ??

The # doesn’t really do anything. It’s just telling the link not to link somewhere. More important are the classes. With the PRO version the declaration is a little different. You can’t just add the wp-video-popup class to all trigger elements. If you would so that, the trigger wouldn’t know which video to open.

That’s why the shortcode looks slightly different if multiple lightboxes are present on the same page. Each shortcode would then have a unique ID which would be used as the class for the trigger element.

The price on the pricing page is already reduced (original price: $40, reduced price: $29,90) ??

    1. got it (on the shortcode)
    2. got it! (on the pricing) ??
