• I have added a popup to my wordpress site using popup builder (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/popup-builder/). I am using a custom theme built by me and the pop-up is not displaying when that theme is activated. When I use one of the preloaded themes in wordpress, it works. I have tried a couple of other plugins too. All of them work on the preloaded themes but not on custom theme. Is there something I should add to my theme files to enable popup support?

@zworthkey12vaibhav This is not about a particular plugin. I’ve tried many and all have the same problem. But they all work with the preloaded themes. So I guessed there’s something I need to add to my functions.php but couldn’t figure out what.

@aneeez, Can you try the same thing with storefront theme if that theme works fine and shows popup as you need then there is some problem with your theme.

Before jumping to a conclusion you need to clear what causing this issue.

@zworthkey12vaibhav I didn’t jump to any conclusions. I have tested it on a couple of themes which come preloaded with WordPress and figured there must be something wrong with my theme. And I have mentioned that clearly in the post as well. Anyway, I got help from someone else and my issue is resolved.
