My recipes slug works just fine, so I can go to mysite.com/recipes and see the archives, and posts are set up as mysite.com/recipes/chocolate-chip-cookies.

But when I view a recipe and click on “course” or “cuisine”, it takes me to mysite.com/course rather than mysite.com/recipes/course.

Is there a way to fix this so the “recipes” slug is in front of the cuisine, course, and ingredient?

I don’t want to alter the entire WP permalink structure of my posts because my blog is not strictly a food blog.

    Hi there,

You can achieve that with the Custom Post Type Permalinks plugin. It basically adds some advanced settings to the Settings > Permalinks page and you can enable a checkbox to add the post type slug to the categories.

Success! It does what I want right out of the box. Thank you so much!
