Adding several pictures WITHOUT a gallery? 2.5

  • OK… Am I going CRAZY or is it REALLY difficult to add several images to a post while NOT using the gallery feature?

    All I want to do after uploading 5 pictures (Batch upload is SUPERB by the way!) is a button that is “Insert Into Post” for all 5 pictures!

    As it is I seem to have to:

    Upload the photos… EASY! LOVE IT! Then the hard part…

    Open media manger, find right picture, open picture details, scroll down, click insert, wait for it to finish inserting and refreshing.

    Re-Open media manger, find picture, open picture details, scroll down, click insert, wait for it to finish inserting and refreshing.

    Re-Open media manger, find picture, open picture details, scroll down, click insert, wait for it to finish inserting and refreshing.

    Probably “Batch Upload” is the wrong term. I just meant seclecting multiple files for upload in the new Media Uploader.

    You can upload many images at once to the Media Gallery, but can’t seem to insert them all at once into the post as stand alone images! I too use a lightbox plugin and love it!

    I am also having a time with the new WordPress 2.5 and getting pictures into a post.

    It used to be there was a button to “insert pictures” and it was uploaded and placed in the post.

    As near as I can tell you have to go into this gallery thing, which is just great. But how on earth do you get the picture into the post?

    What am I missing here? I have a number of WordPress based blogs and would like to go to this new version, but we insert a number of pictures in each blog.

    Anyhow, if you can tell me how this this supposed to work or point me somewhere that explains the proper procedure, that would be great.
