Adding shipping SKU number

Hi there,

There isn’t a built-in way to add an SKU to shipping, because SKUs, or Stock Keeping Units, are normally associated with products for the purposes of tracking inventory.

Shipping isn’t usually inventoried or tracked in this way, and thus no option to add an SKU. You could in theory create a “shipping product” and find a way to force that into every checkout basket.

If you could add some more detail about what your goal is and why you need your shipping to have an SKU, then we can point you in a more concrete direction.

We need to set a code for the shipping to identify on the billing systems.
Is necessary to identify every line in the order to correct set the cost to your accounting system.

How can add a code to the shipping line?
