Adding spaces in Editor doesn’t work

I am trying to add an extra line break or 2 in one of my posts, whenever I click save they dissappear, is there any way around this? I found a post that told me to remove any preformatting which I have done.

I shouldnt have to insert html code to create extra spaces, is there a plug in or something that will fix this?
